According to Airworthiness Directive 2004-10-14C and Teledyne Continental Motors Service Bulletin SB96-11, Woodward Prop Governors SB33574-B and McCauley Prop Governors SB215-C, it is required that the engine be disassembled and the reciprocating, rotating parts be inspected along with engine accessories (in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions) before returning the engine to service.
Inspections for overspeed, overboost, hydraulic lock, fuel and oil contamination also available.
